I saw this the other day and I loved it.

Vegas Baby!
If you can't already guess, we went to Vegas this weekend. The brother-in-laws were going down for the Mountain West Conference playoffs because BYU was playing. They invited us and we said "sure". This was Dan's first time going so it was fun to show him some of the places my family and I used to go to when I was little (we used to stop in Vegas on our way to California). I had to take pictures while we were there to put on the blog because we don't have a lot of fun things going on in our married college lives. So here is our trip.....

One of the water shows at the Bellagio. They do this every night but to different songs.

Sunshine Come Out and Play
Is it sad that I think 48 degrees is warm? Well that is the case it's very true. We're driving around with the windows cracked and our front window open. I'm loving the early spring. Valentine's Day was yesterday and it was the best yet. Since Dan and I want to be frugal with our money right now, we had a low key Valentine's Day. I had to go to my work meeting and when I got back Dan was waiting at the door in his suit. There was a picnic in our living room with candles and music. It was so romantic. What really made it special for us this year was the fact it was our 6 month anniversary. I really wish I would have taken pictures because it was just so cute. I love my husband so much and I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

Good Ol' Rexburg
Life for us in Rexburg has not really changed since the last post. Still busy as ever and in much need of a break. Of course Rexburg wouldn't be Rexburg if it wasn't anything but freezing outside. Looking at this weeks forecast, we've got Monday in the high teens, Tuesday in the high single digits and then back up to the mid teens on Wednesday. Wow what a heat wave. ;) Enough said. Summer is needed in Rexburg. As some of you have heard us talking about how everyone around us is having babies, it still continues. Three of the people I work with are prego and our neighbors down stairs from us are ready to pop in about a month. Baby fever has hit us hard. I think back to a conversation I had with, my at the time future brother-in-law now brother-in-law, Mike before Dan and I got married. He asked me about kids and I said we wanted to wait at least a year and a little more if possible. He laughed and said you'll want them sooner than you think. I thought he was crazy. There would be no way I'd want kids within our 1st year of marriage. I am eating my words. We have to keep talking ourselves out of it. We want me to get a little closer to graduating before kids come along. With people popping out babies around us, it's ssssoooooo difficult.

School, school and more school.
We're not even in the thick of the semester yet and I already want to pull my hair out and quit. I can't remember the last time I was this busy. School during the morning, homework in the afternoon and work at night only to come home and do more homework before bedtime. I do really enjoy my classes, which is a plus but it's just so much work. Dan is working away as usual being the hard worker he is. I told him at the beginning of the year he'll have to play housewife this semester..... he's learning. :) With everything going on, we do still find time, every once in a while, to relax together. This usually consists of us watching Psych. We love that show.

Holiday Adventures.... So Far.
School is done for the semester! It's so nice to see Dan all relaxed and not worried about homework and tests. We started our adventure in Utah at a wedding. Some great friends of mine from back home got married in Manti (Dan and I went to high school together. Sarah and I were in the same ward when I 1st moved to Oregon and stayed good friends). Their wedding was so beautiful and I couldn't be happier for them.
We then visited with some of my crazy family before flying out to Seattle. Our flight was suppose to leave Salt Lake at 1:10pm. So we got there at about 11:30am to check in and everything. Our plane didn't leave until 3:45pm. Four and a half hours is way too long to stay in the airport and wait for your plane to get there. We finally made it though. Being here with family is the greatest and we're so blessed that we can be here with them.
Yesterday, the 23rd, Dan and I made a trip to Seattle. There is a Picasso exhibit going on at the Seattle Art Museum and I was dying to go. Dan, being the wonderful husband he is, took me to the museum and even surprised himself because he enjoyed being there. He liked a good hand full of Picasso's works which surprised me. My favorite Picasso piece is Guernica (which is below). They didn't have that one there but there was a piece called The Portrait of Dora Maar (also below). I fell in love with this piece. Dora Maar was a companion and lover of Picasso's. She was a well known photographer and took many pictures with Picasso and some of his works. She did a series of photos that depicted the progress of Guernica. It was awesome! I loved seeing those pictures and all the other works they had at the museum.
