Holiday Adventures.... So Far.

School is done for the semester! It's so nice to see Dan all relaxed and not worried about homework and tests. We started our adventure in Utah at a wedding. Some great friends of mine from back home got married in Manti (Dan and I went to high school together. Sarah and I were in the same ward when I 1st moved to Oregon and stayed good friends). Their wedding was so beautiful and I couldn't be happier for them.

We then visited with some of my crazy family before flying out to Seattle. Our flight was suppose to leave Salt Lake at 1:10pm. So we got there at about 11:30am to check in and everything. Our plane didn't leave until 3:45pm. Four and a half hours is way too long to stay in the airport and wait for your plane to get there. We finally made it though. Being here with family is the greatest and we're so blessed that we can be here with them.

Yesterday, the 23rd, Dan and I made a trip to Seattle. There is a Picasso exhibit going on at the Seattle Art Museum and I was dying to go. Dan, being the wonderful husband he is, took me to the museum and even surprised himself because he enjoyed being there. He liked a good hand full of Picasso's works which surprised me. My favorite Picasso piece is Guernica (which is below). They didn't have that one there but there was a piece called The Portrait of Dora Maar (also below). I fell in love with this piece. Dora Maar was a companion and lover of Picasso's. She was a well known photographer and took many pictures with Picasso and some of his works. She did a series of photos that depicted the progress of Guernica. It was awesome! I loved seeing those pictures and all the other works they had at the museum.

Can It Friday Already?

This week is finals for Dan (aka not seeing my husband until Thursday night week). I'm not liking it very much because on top of that I don't work this week. I've got to find things to fill my time. The end of this week will be very exciting. Two of my dearest friends are getting married, to each other. They get married on Dec. 18th in Manti Utah and I couldn't be happier for them. After Saturday, I get to see some of my family before Dan and I fly up to Seattle for Christmas. I'm really excited for Christmas this year. It'll be mine and Dan's 1st Christmas as a married couple and we plan on having as much fun with his family as we can before we have to come back to school in January.

Also just a note. Beauty and the Beast is off the wish list. I already got it from someone. :)

What Do We Want For Christmas?

That's a question that we really can't even answer but we put our heads together and this is what we came up with.

Dan Wants:

A Racquetball Set (if not then just some glasses, not goggles, glasses.)
***Probably this one
A good water bottle: Something like these.
A Shower Mirror: A simple one will do just fine.
An Electric Shaver: Any kind

Amanda Wants:

Beauty and the Beast: Diamond DVD Edition (Not the Blu-Ray Edition) This is the cover for it.

A Laptop Sleeve: I love red and/or cool designs.
Big Curling Iron: I think a 2-inch is what I want. The one in the picture is the size.
Singin' in the Rain or It's a Wonderful Life DVD:

Happy Birthday to my Sweetheart!

Today is my husband's 23rd birthday. Pearl Harbor baby. He is the greatest thing that has happened in my life and I want to wish him all the greatest birthday wishes there are. We had a low key birthday but it was a lot of fun. We went on a double with his best guy friend. We did pizza, arcade games and played the trivia game that Dan and I are addicted to. I love you sweetie and hope that you had the best birthday. I love you!

I Love My Ducks

For the first time in school history, Oregon has snatched a spot in the BCS National Title Game! I will say that the Beavers did put up a good fight for this years Civil War game but you just can't take down our Ducks this year. I'm so excited and it makes me miss home even more. I will be watching every bit of that game on January 10th..... I just hope we have TV by then.

1st Family Photos

Dan and I decided that we needed some post wedding pictures. So we asked my best (girl) friend, Melissa who is photo minor, if she could do them for us. She did a great job and if you're ever in Rexburg and need pictures done, she's the one to go to.
*These are only some of them, if you want to see all of the ones we picked you can go to Facebook and look under either Dan's name or mine.
